SL135 SWIVEL OPERATION INTRODUCTIONS
Through the intension test of 324tf
dead load and intension test of 515 10 Pa water pressure, proof
that this swivel’s structure matched the US Petroleum
Institute standard API Spec 8A. Go through stricted indoor
test, and industry test on site, proofed that this product
has advantages of less volume, big loading, and safety. Belong
to domestic advanced product, adoptable to deep well drilling
machine and deep well repairing machine.

Ⅱ Assembling
⒈ All parts must be tested and acceptable, clean before
installation, and take off all the fins.
⒉ Ajust the height of cushion (SL135-04) on top cap, to make
conical roller thrust bearing (main bearing) and 2007934
bearing have certain magnitude of interference. After the
installation, the central pipe should be able to turn freely.
⒊ Check the height of packing set on punching pipe before
installation, under the free status, fit it with blocking ring,
make sure there are space between the two blocking rings.
⒋ Block ring at bottom of punching pipe disk facing is open,
should be tightly fitted with screw thread (SL135-05.11
). Tighten the screw thread by hand when install, then lose
one quarter of one turning, make sure blocking ring can work
freely along bearing.
⒌ When doing installation, at surface of punching pipe,
apply a thin layer grease on upper and bottom of gland screw,
and apply pickling oil on other metal surface of punching pipe.
After punching pipe is installed, use an eight pound hammer
to tight upper and bottom glands.
⒍ The open mouth on oil seal of blocking ring at the upper
part of central pipe, should fit with grease nipple.
⒎ All parts should be sealed by hand, should not use metal
tool.
Ⅲ Lubrication
⒈ Infuse #160 grease oil (Q/SY8051-79) into the shell of
swivel, the applicable temperature should be -2℃ - 65℃.
⒉ Lift ring pin, use #2 lithium craft grease lubricant on
grease nipple of upper 2007934 bearing at packing set of
punching pipe.
Ⅳ Maintenance
⒈ Before starting produce the new type of swivel, should
select some parts for examination, to find metamorphosed
grease, or change grease every six months since starting
produce swivel.
After regular usage, check the height of oil surface once
every shift, wash the oil
Bath once every three months, and change grease.
After use the new swivel 200 hours, change the grease.
⒉ Apply grease every shift at three places.
⒊ Check the mud shell once every week, if it is transfigured,
or broken, it must be changed in time.
⒋ When re-install punching pipe, check outsid surface of
punching pipe and surface of lower packing set and blocking
ring of packing set carefully, if find any grooves,corrosive
pittings, fall off, cracks, must change in time. The aged or
broken packing set should be change at the same time.
⒌ New swivel must rotate for one hour before tighten the
upper and lower pressure cap of punching pipe, and should be
checked every week.
⒍ Every three months, check every part of swivel, to see if
there are any oil leaking, broken parts or cracks, any
unsafted problems.
⒎ In winter time, use fume to make grease temperature higher
than 5℃, then use it.
Ⅴ Transportation
⒈ When consign the products, any bared screw thread should
be protected.
Ⅵ Attached Information
Swivel that left the factory, should have certificate,
packing slip and instructions.
